# Networks and billers

> The four mobile networks, the cable operators and the discos behind the API, by the codes a request sends.

[List networks](/docs/api/public/listNetworks) is the source of truth. These are the codes it answers today.

## Mobile networks

| Network | Code |
| --------- | -------- |
| MTN | `mtn` |
| Glo | `glo` |
| Airtel | `airtel` |
| T2 Mobile | `t2` |

What each can sell right now depends on the plans listed and on what your [lines](/docs/concepts/lines) can send: [List products](/docs/api/public/listProducts) has the plans. Glo lines cannot share airtime, so Glo airtime needs a [vendor link](/docs/concepts/vendor-links).

Data is sold by data type, such as Gifting and Data Share. [List products](/docs/api/public/listProducts) names each plan's `data_type`, and the [pricing page](/pricing) groups them the same way.

## T2 Mobile replaces 9mobile

The network once called 9mobile is T2 Mobile, with the code `t2`. Its plan codes start `T2-` where they started `9MOBILE-`, and past transactions read the new code and name too. Send `t2` and the `T2-` codes; read them from [List products](/docs/api/public/listProducts) rather than keeping your own copy, and a rename like this one never needs a code change.

## Billers

Cable TV (`cable_tv`) covers DStv, GOtv and StarTimes. Electricity (`electricity`) covers Abuja, Benin, Eko, Enugu, Ibadan, Ikeja, Kano and Port Harcourt, prepaid and postpaid. [List products](/docs/api/public/listProducts) is the current list. In live mode bills go through your own [vendor links](/docs/concepts/vendor-links#bills); [verify the account](/docs/api/public/verifyBill) before the customer pays.
